Finally I have made progress and found direction for my ISM Original Work! As mentioned in my previous blog post, I recently met with Mr. Allen to discuss future plans for the project and what I should do moving forward. After the meeting, I have developed clear goals and a solid idea of what the original work will entail. I currently need to work on building my fictional client’s profile- including their backstory, industry, and current problems and goals. At the meeting Mr. Allen and I established three main “consulting problem areas” to focus on out of my seven. I will work on creating a continuous improvement program, increasing sales, and increasing employee retention for my client. The Original Work will include the client profile and their current statistics- including margin revenue, current profits etc. and also how I, as a consultant, will help solve the problems that they bring me. I am extremely grateful towards Mr. Allen for meeting with me and will continue to meet with him while building the Original Work!

Another exciting part of my week was that I have established an interview with my dermatologist's husband! Mr. Shashank Karnik is a consultant specializing in the medical field and he graciously allowed an interview with my on Friday November 8th. It truly is crazy how you can find opportunities in the most unlikely of places. I am ready to meet Mr. Karnik and learn even more about consulting!
