Interview Frenzy!

On September 17th, I had my first interview and it was a huge success! My interviewee, Mr. Josh Meek, was able to provide me with more contacts for further research interviews and also taught me the importance of having goal-oriented behavior. The day of the interview I was extremely nervous and got to The Star in Frisco 20 minutes early. Thankfully I arrived prior to the scheduled time because I got lost trying to find my designated building. This experience taught me to give myself ample time when going to unfamiliar locations for professional meetings!

As an update to my last blog post, I rescheduled my interview with Mr. Larry King from SMD Accounting and Consulting. I also scheduled another interview with Mr. Rich Allen from Tour de Profit! Both interviews are on September 23, and I am extremely excited to meet both consultants. Through these interviews, I hope to find valuable information about how to consult companies and what skills are needed on a day-to-day basis.

Also weeks ago, I left a voicemail requesting interviews at AustinCSI, a consulting company in Plano, and they finally called me back this week! They enthusiastically responded and offered to get back to me once I sent out a list of possible interview questions. Hopefully, I will obtain an interview with a management consultant from this company! In the upcoming week, I will schedule interviews with more consultants and learn even more about the field.
