With the COVID-19 taking over the world and causing pretty much everything to come to a pause, it’s safe to say that life has changed. Going from public school to online school was a tough transition but I know that I can handle it. ISM is one of the few courses that hasn’t been drastically affected. Our assignments are still due regularly and my mentor visits have always been through Zoom calls. I am really grateful and lucky to have such an understanding mentor who has been hosting these online webinar sessions.
This past week, I made some progress on my Final Product. I started solving my first problem of a lack of consistent customer treatment. Euphoria! Bars lacked standard email/phone greetings and that contributed to the fact that each customer was getting different service depending on the time of day, time of week, which employee answered the request, etc. By creating a standardized format of emails/calls Euphoria! Bars will have solved this problem. In the next few days I plan on tackling the issue of operating cost efficiency in order to save Euphoria! Bars money in terms of buying ingredients to make their granola bars. This past week I also finished my Final Presentation Night Invitation and have peer reviewed some of my friend’s! It’s nice to see that COVID-19 can’t stop me from learning!
