Research Showcase was this past week and it went so well! At the beginning I was beyond scared and nervous to actually talk to adults about my first semester of work in consulting but I realized I had nothing to be nervous about. As I began talking to my first visitor I realized that I knew more about consulting that I initially thought. I was able to quickly answer questions off the top of my head and I am extremely proud of how well I did that night. I think one of the biggest things I learned from Research Showcase was to have confidence in myself and my own abilities and not to panic when talking with strangers. I am also super proud of myself because I stood in heels for 2-3 hours! Basically, I need to buy new heels so that I can walk easier and not sink into the ground.
In addition, I have also begun to think of my Final Product for the end of the year. My current plan is to make a (improved) continuation of the consulting plan I created for my Original Work. I will add more problem categories and strengthen the ones I already have. Also I plan to add more to the client history/background with charts and data to supplement the existing written portion. This weekend I will plan out ideas of what to do and detail them in my Final Product Proposal that is due next Friday.
